Four desks, and none of the reporting is ours

How a story gets here

A program reads the public RSS feeds of the newsrooms on our source list every 15 minutes. For each new report it does four things.

1. Sorts it onto one of the desks by what the headline is about.
2. Throws out what is not news: betting tips and picks, bonus and promo pages, casino reviews, price predictions, token presales and paid posts.
3. Folds duplicates together. When several outlets cover the same thing you see one entry, with the others listed under “Also carried by”.
4. Keeps it short. A story page shows the headline, up to 100 words from the opening of the report, the name of the outlet and a button to the full article on the outlet's own site.

Nobody here rewrites those reports and no software writes them either. If you want the whole story, the link takes you to the people who did the work.

What is ours

Only Voices. Those pieces are written by registered readers, read by an editor before they go up, and signed.

Independence

The name refers to what the first desk covers. BetFury News is not BetFury, is not owned or paid by BetFury, and has no arrangement with it or with any other casino, sportsbook, exchange or token project. We do not run affiliate links.

The site earns money one way: a single banner on the front page, always marked “Paid banner”. Buying it gives an advertiser no say over anything else on the site. The details are in the media kit.

Corrections

If a report is on the wrong desk, if a story has slipped through that should have been filtered out, or if a Voices piece contains a mistake, tell us. We fix it and, for Voices pieces, we note the change on the page. Errors inside another newsroom's report have to be corrected by that newsroom; we will pass the message on if you ask.
