Netherlands: Holland Casino breaks ground on Groningen casino

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Holland Casino CEO Petra de Ruiter, Tynaarlo Mayor Marcel Thijsen, employees, and construction partners. De Ruiter and Thijsen performed the official groundbreaking alongside Richard van den Broek, a long-serving Holland Casino employee. The development will permanently replace the operator’s previous property, which was destroyed by fire in 2017. The new property will focus on sustainability, accessibility and modern gaming facilities. It is also expected to strengthen Holland Casino’s presence in the northern Netherlands and support its regional operations.
