SoFi to launch crypto-linked Mastercard in Mexico with Orbi

SoFi Tech Solutions will provide BIN sponsorship and processing for the Mexican card, which converts crypto balances to fiat at the point of sale. Mexican fintech Orbi will issue a crypto-linked card on the Mastercard network through SoFi Tech Solutions ’ BIN sponsorship programme, the three companies said in a joint announcement. The card will let Orbi customers pay from either a traditional fiat balance or their crypto holdings, with crypto converted at the time of purchase so merchants receive fiat.
