Star Entertainment Group said in a Thursday morning ASX filing that it is currently engaging with WhiteHawk Capital Partners – the US-based lender that in June agreed to provide a US$390 million refinancing package – after the Federal Court’s AU$260 million (US$183 million) judgement against the company sparked a “review event” under the credit facility agreement. As reported by IAG , the AU$260 million penalty, handed down on Wednesday, comprises AU$195 million (US$137 million) against The Star Sydney and AU$65 million (US$46 million) against The Star Gold Coast for historical contraventions of Australia’s anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) laws.
