Bitwise Predicts Bitcoin at $1.6M by 2036, but JPMorgan Forecast Points Much Lower

Two long-term Bitcoin outlooks are producing dramatically different results. Bitwise published a base-case Bitcoin price of approximately $1.6 million by 2036, built around a projected compound annual return of 34.3%. JPMorgan Asset Management, meanwhile, reportedly uses a much more conservative 10% compounded annual return assumption for Bitcoin in its long-term capital market work. JPMorgan did not publish a $217,000 Bitcoin target. But if we apply that 10% return assumption to Bitwise’s starting Bitcoin price of $83,557 and compound it for ten years, the result is approximately $216,725. That leaves a gap of roughly $1.38 million between the two outcomes.
