Can DATA Network bring lasting activity to Sui?

DATA Network plans to retire its independent chain and run its AI training data registry on Sui, with Walrus handling files. Sui Foundation is investing $30 million in the network. A registry that its backers say already records millions of receipts daily could bring activity to Sui; how much of that translates into recurring SUI demand remains an open question. DATA Network and its Trace registry will move to Sui while Walrus becomes the default storage layer for DATA Foundation applications. Sui Foundation says it is investing $30 million and becoming DATA Network's largest institutional holder.
