Ledger confirmed that a CryptoBilis device linked to the wallet-draining incident had an unauthorized hardware implant. Ledger, the world's biggest crypto hardware wallet manufacturer, has confirmed that they have found an unauthorized hardware implant in a device linked to a recent major crypto theft. The company also said all confirmed cases so far were from devices sold through CryptoBilis, a reseller in Southeast Asia. This is the first solid evidence for the earlier claims of supply-chain tampering. Ledger had shared on Friday, Oct. 9, that it was looking into reports of missing funds from customers who bought devices through CryptoBilis.
