Ledger Updates Investigation After $91,000,000 Reportedly Drained From Users

The wallet maker Ledger is giving a clearer account of a draining incident that triggered an estimated $91 million in stolen funds. The company says all confirmed cases from the October 9th incident involve devices sold through the Southeast Asia reseller CryptoBilis, and that its systems and direct sales channels remain unaffected. Ledger also confirms one affected customer's device contained an unauthorized hardware implant. It has not said the implant caused every loss. Ledger says the number of affected devices is limited and that it is working with authorities while it reaches out to impacted users.
