Payy Opens 30-Day Claims Process After Bridge Attack, Plans Wallet Shutdown

Payy has opened a 30-day claims process for users affected by a Sept. 24 attack on its Ethereum bridge contract and plans to shut down Payy Wallet after the claims window ends. The bridge contract was attacked at 4:21 a.m. UTC on Sept. 24, or 12:21 a.m. ET, leaving its balance fully drained. Payy subsequently suspended all Payy Network transactions, including deposits and withdrawals. Eligible claims will be paid in USDC on Ethereum. Payy Wallet is currently suspended and will be fully shut down once the 30-day claims period ends.
