Zcash Community Grants Abandons Its Own Funding Cut, Leaves Dev Fund’s Future to Governance

Four days after offering to taper its income and move about 36,200 ZEC from its treasury into a reserve for future miners, the committee said Zcash’s usual governance process should settle what comes next. Zcash Community Grants (ZCG) , the committee funded by 8% of Zcash’s block rewards, has abandoned its own plan to shrink that funding and return some of its ZEC holdings to the network. The committee wrote in a forum post late Monday that it had “decided not to take this proposal forward,” four days after floating it.
