1 trade Texans must make during 2026 NFL season bye week

The Houston Texans have spent the first seven weeks of the 2026 NFL season discovering just how expensive weaknesses in the trenches can become. Despite boasting some really explosive offensive weapons and some of the league’s most dangerous pass rushers, Houston has repeatedly struggled to control the line of scrimmage. Their latest defeat against the New York Giants exposed a particularly alarming vulnerability. Now with the bye week here , general manager Nick Caserio must consider making an aggressive move before the trade deadline. Acquiring Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Vita Vea could be that move.
