12Ks of Christmas blends holiday fun with community giving at Leatherwood Park

Holiday spirit and community giving will come together Dec. 12, as runners, walkers and Christmas enthusiasts gather for the annual 12Ks of Christmas 12K/5K Race and Fun Run/Walk at Leatherwood Park in Lore City. Participants are encouraged to dress in their favorite Christmas costumes, ugly sweaters, Santa Claus outfits or as characters from Christmas movies. A prize will be awarded for the best costume, adding an extra dose of holiday fun to the event, according to a community announcement. The race is designed to showcase the scenic Great Guernsey Trail.
