2026 Yankees Team MVP: Cam Schlittler

We close a bit of a circle with this post, as I was fortunate to write Cam Schlittler's season preview post all the way back in March. This was how good(ish) FanGraphs thought he would be: Of course Cam ended the year with a 1.95 ERA, 2.56 FIP, 31 percent strikeout rate, 6.4 percent walk rate, and 6.2 fWAR. It is hard to think in recent seasons of a player so dramatically outplaying their Depth Chart projections, so much so that said player went from a projected third-ish pitcher in a rotation to the likely Cy Young winner.
