A preseason storyline to watch for every Division I conference

You want storylines? The 2026-27 men's college basketball offseason has been more like a Netflix special with five seasons and 16 episodes apiece. The whole game is a storyline! The fifth-year eligibility saga that everyone assumed would be done by now is ongoing. The NCAA is still in court fighting against the Class of 2022 athletes. The good news is that the college basketball season begins Sunday when Villanova and Notre Dame square off in Rome. We're getting closer to on-court drama and further away from in-court drama -- maybe.
