Alyssa Volkers makes Hamilton history as first swimmer with state cuts in every event

When Volkers won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:13.76 on Thursday, Oct. 22, she became the first swimmer in Hamilton history to earn a state cut in all 11 swimming events in the same season. "I honestly never really thought about getting all the cuts until the day before when coach texted me and asked if I'd be willing to try for the last one in the 100 breaststroke, and I told her I would love to.
