Arsenal have told staff they are planning to cut 60 jobs, just months after the club ended their 22-year wait for the Premier League title. The redundancies will focus on off-field areas, and not affect the coaching or backroom staff of the men's or women's teams, the club’s community operation, the Arsenal Foundation and security staff. The news comes just a week after Arsenal announced Mikel Arteta had signed a lucrative four-year contract worth around £20million per year, making him the highest paid manager in the top flight.
