As it happened: Canelo reclaims title; Munguia, Espinoza defend belts

Canelo Alvarez reclaimed the WBC super middleweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Christian Mbilli in the main event of a Mexico vs. The World fight card Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Canelo (64-3-2, 39 KOs), a four-division world champion, was looking to win one of the titles he lost to Terence Crawford in September 2025. He did just that with scorecards of 115-112, 116-111 and 117-110. Mbilli (29-1-1, 24 KOs) captured the WBC interim title with a first-round TKO victory over Maciej Sulecki in June 2025.
