Brandt Clarke’s ‘fortunate’ message amid potential breakout season

The Los Angeles Kings have struggled early in the 2026-27 NHL season . They began the year winless, and did pick up some big wins after breaking that first losing streak. On Wednesday, they did pull out a big win over the San Jose Sharks as well. However, they are near the bottom of the Pacific Division at this time. One major bright spot for this team has been defenseman Brandt Clarke. Clarke was drafted seventh overall by the Kings in the 2021 NHL Draft. He has had his ups and downs, but he has become a regular contributor.
