Brewers pick up William Contreras club option before contract extension talks

MLB free agency is underway, and the Milwaukee Brewers will have some decisions to make after winning the World Series. On Monday, the franchise already made a decision regarding William Contreras , as he’ll be rejoining the organization in 2027 after his club option was picked up. Reports indicate that the Brewers picked up the 28-year-old’s $15.5 million club option for next season, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today Sports. Nightengale also claims that the front office likely wants to negotiate a new contract extension with Contreras at some point in the offseason.
