Bubba Wallace leaves track in ambulance after violent NASCAR crash leaves hearts in mouths

NASCAR's Bubba Wallace somehow managed to walk away from a frightening wreck during Sunday's Bank of America 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The 33-year-old 23XI Racing driver was on the outside as he came out of a turn on lap 77 when rival Alex Bowman lost control of his No. 48 car, which crashed into Wallace's No. 23, sending both vehicles spinning. There was particular concern for Wallace in the USA Network announcers' booth as the rear right side of his car absorbed two impacts in quick succession while bouncing from one wall and into the other.
