Canelo Alvarez and Christian Mbilli look shredded as pair make weight for Saudi clash

Canelo Alvarez and Christian Mbilli have made weight for their blockbuster bout in Saudi Arabia this weekend. Despite safety concerns and security alerts in Riyadh, Canelo fights undefeated French-Cameroonian boxer Mbilli for the WBC super-middleweight title on Saturday . It marks Canelo’s first fight since September 2025, when the Mexican superstar dropped his undisputed status at 168lbs to Terence Crawford . Canelo said at Thursday’s press conference he opted for the tough Mbilli purely because of his WBC title, and the 36-year-old has revealed he wants a quick turnaround if victorious .
