Canelo Alvarez got an answer to the question that had haunted him ever since his lopsided defeat to Terence Crawford last September. On Halloween in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Canelo proved that there is still life in the old dog, as he secured a comfortable unanimous decision victory over Christian Mbilli to reclaim the WBC super middleweight crown. Canelo methodically picked apart defending champion Mbilli, who got off to a strong start before letting the fight slip away from him in the middle portion of the fight. Mbilli looked overawed by the occasion, while Canelo showed flashes of his former self.
