Dana White waiting on Justin Gaethje retirement decision to make Alexander Volkanovski fight

Dana White is open to making a champion-vs-champion fight between Justin Gaethje and Alexander Volkanovski. However, the UFC CEO is waiting for Gaethje to decide his next steps to book the super-fight. Both Gaethje and Volkanovski have faced retirement questions this year after career-best victories. Gaethje forced Ilia Topuria to quit on his stool in the main event of the UFC’s White House show in June to become the new lightweight champion. Volkanovski, meanwhile, knocked out the previously undefeated Movsar Evloev at UFC 333 last month to cement his legacy as one of the greatest fighters of all time.
