Dmitry Bivol vs Callum Smith announced with date and venue confirmed after lengthy delay

The much-anticipated light heavyweight clash between Dmitry Bivol and Callum Smith is finally official. Bivol puts his WBA, IBF and WBO 175lbs titles on the line against Smith on December 12 at the UMCC Arena in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The event will be co-promoted by RCC Boxing and Matchroom, and is being broadcast on DAZN . Both parties struck a deal for the WBO mandatory bout back in August. However, it took a little under two months to get regulatory approval from the WBO for the contest to take place on Russian soil.
