Eagles-Commanders could lose NBC prime-time slot amid slow starts

The NFL is considering moving the Nov. 1 game off NBC's "Sunday Night Football," according to Rob Tornoe of The Philadelphia Inquirer . Philadelphia is 2-3 after three straight losses, while Washington is 1-3-1 after a 27-27 tie with the Giants in Week 5. The NFC East matchup remains scheduled for Sunday night, but both teams' slow starts have diminished its appeal as a national showcase. Together, the Eagles and Commanders have won just three of their first 10 games. NFL rules require 12 days' notice for a Week 8 Sunday night change, so the deadline is Oct. 20.
