Emotional Cristiano Ronaldo makes heartfelt gesture after match delayed amid Saudi Arabia attacks

Cristiano Ronaldo was visibly emotional ahead of Al Nassr’s AFC Champions League Elite match which had its kick-off delayed. The start of the match against Uzbek champions Neftchi Fergana was pushed back 20 minutes due to a security alert. The clash on Monday at Alawwal Park had been scheduled to begin at 9.15pm local time in the Saudi Arabian kick-off. However, the alert caused the match to be delayed until the necessary safety protocols and inspections had been carried out. Supporters were permitted to remain in their seats whilst they waited for the action to get underway.
