ERIK TEN HAG claims Cristiano Ronaldo “could no longer deliver” THREE YEARS before re-joining Manchester United. Former Old Trafford boss Ten Hag has had another pop at CR7, who quit United in November 2022 claiming he had been “betrayed” by the Dutchman. Last month, Ten Hag slated the Portugal legend for not preparing himself properly during a lacklustre second spell as a Red Devil. Now, in an interview with Dutch programme Goedemorgen Eredivisie, ten Hag made it clear he felt Ronaldo was already three years a has-been when he returned to United in August 2021.
