Pat McAfee is arguably sports media’s biggest name at the moment, and there is a reason behind his exponential growth. Following eight-years as the Indianapolis Colts ‘ punter, McAfee turned to podcasting, launching ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ in 2019. The show exploded in popularity, and three-years later McAfee joined ESPN as a full-time analyst for CollegeGameday in 2022. ESPN then began licensing The Pat McAfee Show in 2023, though McAfee still owns the intellectual property. Despite his growing role within the network, McAfee is often criticized for his distracting antics, particularly on College GameDay.
