‘Even he knows she’s not actually a good player’: President Trump’s Sophie Cunningham comments spark reactions

United States President Donald Trump has publicly weighed in on Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham, who has risen to prominence in the political world after she spoke out against trans women in women’s sports. However, given what he implied about her talent, Cunningham might wish that he had simply stayed quiet. Speaking at a midterm rally in Youngstown, Ohio, on Monday night, Trump called Cunningham “a beautiful young woman.” He then suggested her value to a team would come from her looks, not her basketball skills, sparking a wide range of reactions.
