Ex-Leicester manager names bizarre reason for club’s struggles in EFL

Former Leicester City boss Gary Rowett has declared the club’s state-of-the-art training complex is proving to be a hindrance. Rowett, who also represented Leicester during his playing days, took charge of the Foxes on a short-term basis between February and June 2026. His remit was to keep the crisis club in the Championship after they were served a six-point deduction for breaching Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) rules. Rowett was unable to successfully complete his mission as the Foxes dropped into the third-tier for just the second time in the club’s history.
