F1 Circuit Designers Spill Details of Roller Coaster African GP Layout Seen By Champion Drivers

The African GP circuit designers Alexander Wurz and Carsten Tilke expanded on how the new Rwanda F1 circuit is coming about. After the landmark announcement by the FIA and DOM, of the return of Africa to the F1 calendar from potentially 2030 onwards , the design parties – Wurz Design and Tilke GmbH & Co. KG – expanded on how the new circuit came about after years of deliberation. Former racer Alexander Wurz and one of the GPDA Directors’, revealed that they held initial talks in 2023 when they set out to find a potential F1 venue in Rwanda.
