Florida State's top recruit in 2026 dismissed from program over conduct

Florida State freshman cornerback Chuck Kennon , the Seminoles' top-rated recruit in this year's class, has been dismissed from the program for "conduct detrimental to the team." The school confirmed Kennon's dismissal to ESPN on Tuesday. The Sarasota, Florida, native was no longer listed on Florida State's roster as of Tuesday morning. Kennon, the No. 56 overall recruit on the SC Next ESPN 300 in 2026, played only one snap for the Seminoles this season, on Oct. 3 against Virginia . The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Kennon played receiver and defensive back in high school.
