Future Champions Festival: Darkness Falls sparks Triple Crown dreams with Dewhurst win – as it happened

Darkness Falls will be given every chance to go one better than his sire, Camelot, and become the first Triple Crown winner since Nijinsky in 1970 after a narrow defeat of Desert Castle, the odds-on favourite, in the Group One Dewhurst Stakes here on Saturday. Camelot went down to a narrow and slightly unfortunate defeat to Encke in the 2012 St Leger after registering wins in the first two legs of the Triple Crown: the 2,000 Guineas in May and the Derby at Epsom a month later.
