“Embattled FIFA President Gianni Infantino is in real trouble . He is under investigation for allegedly trying to orchestrate a plan to sell a 20% stake in future World Cups to investors. On Tuesday, things went from bad to worse. It was announced that, according to U.S. Internal Revenue Service documents, Infantino received an undisclosed amount of money from an entity in charge of the World Cup, per Jeff Carlisle of ESPN. Through an IRS Form 990, Infantino received $1.72 million from FWC2026 in 2024.
