Guardians’ Chase DeLauter ends Drew Rasmussen’s scoreless innings streak with ALCS Game 1 HR

The Cleveland Guardians are on the board in the AL Championship Series! Cleveland was up against a formidable foe to start the ALCS when Drew Rasmussen took the mound. The Tampa Bay Rays’ veteran ace has been near-unhittable this postseason. Rasmussen hadn’t given up a run in his seven innings before his Game 1 start, and he was on pace to continue that streak in the sixth inning. However, Guardians right fielder Chase DeLauter had other plans. Hitting as the lead-off man in the sixth, DeLauter crushed a hanging breaking ball out of the field.
