‘Hard to hear’ – Dan Campbell and Jared Goff hold back tears with touching gesture to Lions broadcast icon

After the Detroit Lions’ 45-21 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday there was one thing on Dan Campbell’s mind. The Lions head coach opted to begin his post-game press conference by sending his support to the team’s longtime play-by-play announcer Dan Miller following the passing of his wife, Cynthia, of 33 years. He also gave a game ball to Miller, who was absent for Sunday’s win over the Cardinals. “I’ll start with this. This ball goes to Dan Miller and his family ,” a visibly emotional Campbell said, choking up as he continued to find the words to say.
