Harnedy calls time on 15-year Cork hurling career

Cork forward and three-time All-Star Séamus Harnedy has announced his retirement from inter-county hurling. The 36-year-old had been an integral part of the Rebel set-up since making his league and championship debut in 2013 - he featured first in 2011 in a pre-season Waterford Crystal Cup competition before dropping out of the panel - but has had to overcome injury issues in recent seasons. A substitute in Cork's All-Ireland final defeats to Clare (2024) and Tipperary (2025), he remained on the bench for the duration of Cork's All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Galway in July.
