Ireland finish Kazakhstan rout to set up Poland showdown

The Republic of Ireland's World Cup mission has been crystallised after they sauntered past Kazakhstan at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh to reach the play-off final. If they beat Poland over two legs in late November/early December, the Girls in Green are going to Brazil. That will not be straightforward. After Friday's 8-0 win in the first leg, this clash in Cork was effectivley a dead rubber. Jessie Stapleton, Katie McCabe, Lucy Quinn and Denise O'Sullivan got the goals in a game that often resembled a training session. The real drama was in Gdansk.
