Jeff Garcia calls for coaching change at alma mater San Jose State, nominates himself

In a sudden Instagram post Monday, Garcia shared a photo of himself when he played for the Spartans from 1991 to 1993, along with a long caption bemoaning the direction of the team. "We sit here as Former Spartans constantly waiting for that certain someone to bring us that competitive mindset to achieve greatness on and off the field," the post reads. "We bring outsiders in, but never look at those who wore and bled for the blue and gold as our potential leader. Why not? What do we have to lose?" Thus, the pitch for himself began.
