Jets call up former 1st-round pick as scoring woes continue

The Winnipeg Jets have been struggling so far this year. They are 5-8-3 this season, and recently were on a nine-game losing streak. The losing streak was broken in their last game, after the Jets made a four-goal comeback to beat the Montreal Canadiens . The team is scoring just 2.44 goals per game, which ranks 29th in the NHL, but is making a move to hopefully score more, calling up a former first-round pick from the AHL, according to a release from the team. The Jets have called up Brayden Yager from the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.
