Jets' roster decision finalized as Rams sign player off team's practice squad

Following a blocked attempt in overtime on "Monday Night Football" in Week 5, the LA Rams (2-3) decided to release kicker Harrison Mevis. To replace him, the Los Angeles went to East Rutherford. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Rams have signed Blake Grupe off the Jets' practice squad to replace Mevis, leaving Sanders as New York's lone kicker: Despite that, Gang Green still went with Sanders at the start of the regular season as they called him up from the practice squad.
