Luis Enrique: ‘Donnarumma is amongst the best goalkeepers in the world’

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique insists that he has no hard feelings towards his former goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, whom he labeled ‘amongst the best in the world’ ahead of their reunion in the Champions League on Wednesday night. Donnarumma spent four years with PSG between 2021 and 2025, winning four consecutive Ligue 1 titles, two under Enrique, and the 2024-25 Champions League. He was allowed to leave the club for Manchester City in what is widely considered a bargain for a goalkeeper of his calibre, costing around €27m in transfer fees.
