Man City add £9m ‘super silk’ lawyer who worked for Roman Abramovich and Elton John in bid to fight guilty verdict

MANCHESTER CITY have added one of the UK’s top lawyers to their legal team in its fight against their guilty verdict. The club was found guilty of more than 100 breaches of Premier League financial regulations last month. But the ownership has maintained its innocence, and has already launched an appeal against the decision. And that defence will now benefit from the expertise of Mark Howard KC, one of the UK’s top barristers. The Lawyer reports that the vastly experienced lawyer is advising the club on their case.
