Matthew Ridge hoping to convince family to move back to New Zealand after joining Black Clash

Matthew Ridge will return to New Zealand, but only for a short time as he appears in the 2027 Black Clash. The television presenter and former league player now lives in Bali with his wife, Chloe, and their children after spending time in France . The 58-year-old told the Herald his kids now speak French fluently and the family enjoyed themselves in the country, but he was keen to return to the Southern Hemisphere. “I just started to miss my part of the world, [but] we didn’t want to come back to New Zealand just yet,” Ridge said.
