Mavericks guard Max Christie exits Kings game with troubling injury

The Dallas Mavericks lost starting guard Max Christie to a right hip injury during Monday’s home game vs. the Sacramento Kings, adding another concern to an already depleted Mavericks lineup . Christie played approximately eight minutes before exiting at American Airlines Center. He missed all five of his shots, each from 3-point range, and finished with two rebounds, one steal and one turnover. The Mavericks turned to Walter Clayton Jr. to open the third quarter in Christie’s place. The Smoking Cuban’s Noah Weber reported the guard’s status Monday on X, formerly Twitter, confirming he would not return against the Kings.
