Mitchell Santner becomes New Zealand's most-capped T20I player with 143rd appearance

Star cricketer Mitchell Santner has become the most-capped T20I cricketer in New Zealand's history, reaching 143 appearances during the fifth T20I of India's tour of New Zealand in 2026. The all-rounder and New Zealand T20I captain moved past Ish Sodhi, who had held the record with 142 appearances, to stand alone at the top of his country's all-time list in the shortest format. The milestone arrived during a series that had already produced a significant personal landmark for Santner.
