Moorhead's historic season comes to an abrupt end with playoff upset loss

The Moorhead Spuds put together one of the best offensive regular seasons in the history of Minnesota high school football, but their postseason run came to an end with a second-round upset loss, 19-14 to Prior Lake on Friday night at home. The Spuds were widely viewed as the No. 1 high school football team in the state of Minnesota, but the Lakers handed them a 19-14 loss on their home field to end their season. Gophers commit QB Jett Feeney was off his game. He finished 11 of 24 for just 128 yards and one touchdown.
