Namibia overpower Ireland in series decider

Ireland fell to a five-wicket defeat in the fifth and final one-day international as Namibia claimed a 3-2 series win in Windhoek. The visitors were all-out for 129 after 33.1 overs with Namibia surpassing that target in 21.2 overs. With next year's Cricket World Cup qualifier taking place in the southern Africa nation in February, this series was ideal preparation for Gary Wilson's side. They may not have managed to come away with a victory against the hosts, but captain Lorcan Tucker accepts his side will have "learned a lot" from their experience.
