New Houston Astros GM Randy Flores makes his first priority clear: Hiring a manager

Newly introduced as Houston Astros general manager, Randy Flores made it clear his first priority will be hiring a manager - ideally soon. "Immediate," Flores said Monday of the timeline to fill the team's managerial vacancy. "We need to get started on that and finalize that." The Astros announced Oct. 14 they would not bring back former manager Joe Espada , whose contract expired after his third season in the job.
