NFL owners make major move for Republicans ahead of midterm elections

With the midterm elections less than a week away, NFL owners have been spending big to help Republicans hold onto power in Washington. And it’s not particularly close. According to a new report, NFL owners have spent more than $18 million on candidates and committees this election cycle, with nearly all of that money going to the GOP. That includes seven-figure donations from Broncos co-owner Rob Walton and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. $18 Million to the GOP “Nearly all of it has gone to Republicans,” Front Office Sports reported after reviewing Federal Election Commission records.
